The Final Countdown

We are patiently awaiting the arrival of our sweet baby twin girls. I am currently 37wks and 5 days, typically with twins people go into labor by week 35 or 36 so this is an unexpected but nice surprise. We are very happy the babies have decided to stay in the womb for a bit longer to gain extra weight and body systems to develop completely. :) If I don't go into labor by this weekend May 19th, we will go in to hospital to be induced yeay!

The Babies room is done, here are some pictures. :)

Suburbia Here We Come! Baby Showers! San Diego Bound!

We have had a very busy couple months with renting out our townhome, moving to Sammamish, being showered with love by friends and family at our baby showers.

Sammamish -
Our new neighborhood and house are amazing, we just love living in a quiet and safe area. There are lots of kids, parks and schools nearby. I am looking forward to walking the babies all around here once they arrive and the weather warms up. Its funny how we said we would never move to the suburbs and how fast we have grown to love it in just a month or so.

Portland Family Baby Shower -
The first shower was in Portland at my aunt Margie's house, it was very nice to catch up with my family and friends down there. The babies were very spoiled! My aunts and close family friend Terrie hosted the shower, it was a great time and I am so happy they were all able celebrate the baby girls with me. I had not seen a few of my great aunts in a very long time so it was nice to see everyone. And my sister-in-law Laura came down with her mom Connie and my niece Ellie which was so nice. The food, decorations and everything were just lovely. I had my fair share of cupcakes too! :)  Sweets are so yummy these days, haha!  Ryan had man time while golfing in Vancouver, his favorite pass time. :)

La Jolla, CA-
The following weekend we traveled to La Jolla, CA for Ryans work meeting, it was hosted at a fabulous resort called Estancia Hotel & Spa. We took full advantage of the wonderful outdoor areas with comfy couches and chairs, the weather was a bit cold for this time of year but still felt warm compared to Seattle. It was a nice getaway and my last flight before the babies are born. La Jolla is a very pretty city just north of San Diego, the downtown hosts many shops and yummy restaurants, we hope to travel again there sometime. One of the dinners which was hosted by the captive meeting was on the Air Force Base Miramar (location where Top Gun was filmed), it was really interesting to see all the large helicopters on the base and have a tour. We are very fortunate to have those men and women who serve our country everyday, I was surprised how young the pilots that we met were. Meeting them made us reflect on how lucky we are to be protected by them on a daily basis. We ate dinner at the Officers Bar which was also on the movie but we heard the pilots don't hang out there very often.

Erickson Family Baby Shower - Mill Creek  :
My sister-in-law Tracy and mother-in-law Louise hosted a fabulous shower for me and the babies two weekends ago. It was Dr.Seuss Thing 1 & Thing 2 themed, the decorations were amazing, every single item was labeled with cute rhymes, it was a blast. Tracy really outdid herself, she is truly gifted with her creativity. We had a great time all catching up. The babies were very spoiled and have many clothes and items from all the nice showers.

Friends shower - Jill's house :
This past weekend my dear long-time friend Jillian hosted the babies and I a shower at her house on Mercer Island. She is also an amazing party planner and decorator. The girls played the "guess how big the mommys belly is," and I am happy to tell you all that my baby bump is smaller then they all thought. haha! :)  It was nice to see and visit with my girlfriends as well as my mom, Louise & Tracy. Jillian gave the babies their first cowgirl boots which I am so excited for them to wear. Once again the babies were very spoiled with many clothes and accessories which I can't wait to put them in.

Thanks to everyone, we feel so blessed and loved! :) xoxo

Maui Babymoon - February

We went to Maui for vacation and it was very relaxing, the weather was gorgeous the entire week we were there. Ryan and I stayed in Wailea for the first time and definitely want to return to that area again someday.
Its a busy time for whale watching there this time of year so we spotted a few in between our pool time. Toward the end of the week we got adventurous and went to a Luau on the beach at the Grand Wailea hotel which was a great time. There was a lot of fire throwing and hula dancing, the food was awesome! They had cooked a pig in the ground all day, it was delicious. :)

Ryan golfed a couple times at the Wailea Gold Course, here are a few pictures of the course.
